An innovator in marketing/media research and planning, Jana O’Brien draws upon decades of communications agency and consulting experience to deliver 360-degree consumer insight to C-level client decision-makers and strategic partners. Jana has been consulting since retiring in 2008 from her 28-year career at Chicago’s Leo Burnett and Starcom MediaVest Group, where she rose to the C-level in research and account/context planning.

Jana has led strategic insight work on industry-leading clients such as Coca-Cola, The Country Music Association, GM, Hallmark, IZEA, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Netflix, Nintendo, Reebok, ULTA Beauty, United Airlines, and VF Corporation, and media organizations such as Nickelodeon, ClearChannel (iHeartMedia), and Michigan State University’s WKAR public media. She also serves as a senior consultant to the research firm Halverson Group.
Jana’s professional accomplishments have caused the industry to take notice, as she was elected a 2002 Media Maven by Advertising Age and named one of the 2005 “Media 100” by Media Magazine.
