Social Media Strategist at Chipotle

Rusty Partch is a Social Innovation Strategist with Chipotle Mexican Grill, a small burrito company founded in Denver Colorado. He helped develop and launch Chipotle’s first social presence in 2009. In the years following he also created Chipotle International, ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen and Pizzeria Locale’s social platforms, strategy and analytics. He’s proud to work for a company that parallels his beliefs in sustainability and making changes to the food systems.

In his current role Rusty looks at trends and changes in the social realm to help keep his company at the forefront of the digital curve. He has spearheaded Chipotle’s foray into social influencer marketing, by developing an integrated strategy for utilizing social influencers across Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Additionally, he established a unified social engagement and analytics framework to benchmark and measure consumer marketing initiatives, in an effort to create efficacy and optimize accordingly. His marketing plans have been adapted in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Fiji, Russia, and Japan. He’s not one to follow traditional approaches and is driven by constantly questioning the status quo.

Growing up in Colorado Rusty obtained 2 bachelor degrees in Marketing and International Business Management at the University of Colorado. He enjoys being outdoors and activities like scuba diving, dirt biking, and surfing. Rusty belongs and contributes to organizations like Surfrider Foundation, PADI project AWARE and Divers Alert Network.
