David Binkowski is the senior vice president of Word-of-Mouth Marketing at MS&L and leads the digital practice of the New York office. He was recently named to the Member Ethics Advisory Panel for the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) and wrote the Blogger Relations Ethics Code. David spearheaded the firm’s Word-of-Mouth Marketing division, leading hundreds of campaigns representing numerous international and national brands for corporations including P&G, Eli Lilly and Company, Wells Fargo, Underwriters Laboratories, Brother and Intuit.
David’s career began in 1998 as a freelance Web designer and marketer before being hired by one of his clients, the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. His role was expanded to lead all of the Institute’s Web efforts, including the creation of the Institute’s first intranet and the Institute’s first major Web site redesign.
Other career highlights include the implementation of W3C standards at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as well as launching more than 30 intranet sites. While at the Blues he also led the creation of theunadvertisedbrand.com, a generic drug Web site for Michigan residents, which won an award from the American Society of Professional Communicators. David is also a member of the advisory board in the computer information systems department at Henry Ford Community College.
